Our Story

Born from Resilience

Viva Emerie, founded by Ramatu Fofanah (Ramluv) in 2021, is a women’s clothing brand born from resilience and reimagined as modern luxury.

Ramatu’s journey began in Sierra Leone, where she grew up during the civil war and once owned only seven garments. From that scarcity, she discovered the art of adaptation transforming a single piece into endless possibilities. That spirit of versatility became the foundation of her design philosophy.

The Making of a Vision

At 15, Ramatu refined her styling by designing looks for beauty pageant contestants with only a limited wardrobe. In college, she launched fohstyling, a fashion blog dedicated to reinventing outfits from a single garment. Those early experiments carved her belief: true style lies in innovation over excess.

Design Ethos: One Piece, Ten Ways

Guided by a love of architecture, each Viva Emerie piece is built with structure, balance, and movement in mind. Our silhouettes draw on line, geometry, and spatial harmony; forms daring yet refined, engineered to hold their shape through every reconfiguration. The same principles that give a structure its integrity give a piece its versatility: one design, endlessly reconsidered, always resolved.

More than Fashion

Viva Emerie is proof that limits make you sharper, not smaller. What started as one dress worn ten ways is now a wardrobe built the same way; pieces that move with you instead of sitting in a closet.

**Remember, the first and last thing you must always wear is CONFIDENCE**
