Our Story

Viva Emerie owned by Ramatu Fofanah (Ramluv), is a women’s clothing brand created to celebrate human connections! Founded in 2021, Viva Emerie is inspired by architecture with a focus on versatility.

Born during a civil war in her home country, Sierra Leone, Ramatu Fofanah (Ramluv) once owned only 7 pieces of clothing - uniforms. She learned a valuable lesson: adaptation and versatility. She discovered her ability to put together several different eye-catching and expressive looks using only one garment. This became the foundation of Viva Emerie.

Ramatu’s wardrobe innovation continued to emerge at the age of 15 when she became a stylist for beauty pageant contests using only a limited wardrobe, her own. And again, in college, when she created “fohstyling”, a fashion blog which focused entirely on creating different looks from one article of clothing.

Her mastery of fashion versatility, love for architecture, and desire to celebrate human connection led her to create Viva Emerie. As a designer, her mission is to make women feel daring and luxurious; striking and empowered.
